As a figurative sculptor, living in San Diego, I am also the owner and principal instructor of Studio Scultura in Pacific Beach.

Located in downtown San Diego, The Brokers Building was my first studio experience, and although it offered tiny individual space, I loved it!

From 2013-2018 this studio was an amazing experience.

Shared with 40 other artist, it provided work studio space and a beautiful gallery on the 3rd floor. I was able to participate in several group shows and really developed as an artist there.

With the opportunity to study in New York under various artists, I've especially enjoyed Jon DeMartin's figure drawing class, and the Ecorche workshop at the Florence Academy of Art-US located in Jersey City.

I was then accepted and invited to study with Jill Burkee at the Art Students League of New York, focused on Marble Portraiture.

In 2017, traveling to Florence Italy, I had the delightful opportunity to study under the gifted sculptor Marusia Nita, working for three months in her studio space in Sesto Fiorentino.

Traveling by train everyday, across the beautiful Italian landscapes, it felt like a dream to eat, sleep and breath art.

My favorite part of the city was Bobili Gardens, so beautiful and large you could absolutely get lost.

The most moving and artistically influential moments I had during my stay in Italy were in the Staglieno Cemetery.

The Cimitero monumentale di Staglieno is an extensive cemetery located on a hillside in the district of Staglieno of Genoa, Italy, famous for its monumental sculpture and it is one of the largest cemeteries in Europe.

Witnessing the most breathtaking memorial monuments, a virtual open air museum,  was deeply transformative for me and I will never forget such an inspirational experience.

As my time in Italy came to a close, I know new what I wanted to do next. I returned to San Diego and opened my sculpture studio in Pacific Beach....

Studio Scultura.

Studio Scultura has been a beautiful beginning to an amazing new chapter.

Along with growing and developing my personal body of work, I offer workshops, classes and have started a community art program working with adults with special needs.

I believe in a responsibility to our community, and adults with special needs can have such limited opportunities.

The world of Art and Creativity is universal in all of us, we all feel the fun and excitement from creative expression, and I feel such joy and gratitude when I share thses classes and projects with such a talented group. I love to see the brilliance in all of us!
